Pickets for construction of new polyclinic to be held in Salihorsk

The public activists of Salihorsk intend to hold a picket to support the idea of the construction of a new polyclinic in the city. The application for the authorization of the picket has been filed to the Salihorsk District Executive Committee by a member of the United Civil Party Viktar Malochka.

"This picket will be held to collect people's signatures under the address to the local and national authorities with the demand to construct a new modern polyclinic in Salihorsk", says Mr. Malochka.

The activists intend to hold their event in the center of the city.

"Due to some absurd peculiarities of our legislation, I cannot voice the place, data and time of the picket. However, I should say, and we have pointed it in our application, that the collection of signatures in that place was allowed during the parliamentary election of 2012 and the presidential election of 2010, that's why we will not hinder the defense capability and security. Correspondingly, there are no legal grounds for denials to authorize the action," commented Viktar Malochka.

On the other hand, the organizers have no illusions that the authorities will authorize their action, but consider it as necessary to remind the authorities about the issue at least by this application.
