The festive event was held on 3 February by the Baranavichy council of the Belarusian Language Society and the Polish House. The candidates of historical sciences Nina Styzhynskaya and Andrei Kishtymau told about the personality of Kanstantsin Kalinouski and the peculiarities of the uprising of 1863 in Belarus. The first head of the Polish house in Baranavichy, Alzhbeta Dalenha Uzhosek spoke about her vision of Kalinouski's role in the development of the Belarusian language and statehood. Anzhela Kambalava dedicated her speech to the image of Kastus Kalinouski in cinema, literature and art. The poet Ales Bely wrote his poems, dedicated to Kalinouski's insurgents.

A historical quiz, dedicated to the uprising of 1863, was held among the audience by the head of the Baranavichy council of the Belarusian Language Society Viktar Syrytsa. On one hand, it showed the people's interest to Kalinouski, on the other – how much yet remains to be discovered about his life and activities.

Minsk folk signers Raman Yarash, Viktar Siamashka and Yiliiana Litvinava sang songs. At the end of the event, Halina Yarashevich and Tatsiana Malashchanka sang the song "Milavidy Lilac", dedicated to the insurgents.

All in all, about 80 people were present at the event.
