Baranavichy: Mikalai Charnavus intends to hold rally against increase of business tax

The Baranavichy entrepreneur Mikalai Charnavus applied to the Baranavichy City Executive Committee to receive an official permission for holding a rally against the increase of the tax on business on 12 February.

"The Brest City Executive Committee decided to increase the tax for individual entrepreneurs by 50%. We know for sure that in some cities of the Brest region the tax was increased even more. That's why Baranavichy entrepreneurs decided to express their protest against the increase of the tax which makes our business activities hopeless and unprofitable," said Mikalai Charnavus.

The activist wants to hold the rally not in the desolate old park, determined by the authorities as suitable for outdoor events, but in Fabrychnaya Street. In his application he also expressed the wish that the head of the Brest Region Executive Committee would come to the event. He also submitted an appropriate invitation to the official.
