Socio-political activist Mikalai Ulasevich
Astravets District Court finished yesterday the consideration of administrative charges brought against Mikalai Ulasevich, civil and political activist of the town of Varniany, Hrodna region. The activist was found guilty and fined 4 million rubles.
The trial included 9 sittings, as Mikalai Ulasevich kept protecting his rights. However, he was eventually convicted of resisting police orders back on 21 September.
The activist says he is going to appeal the verdict at Hrodna Regional Court.
