Salihorsk authorities ban 19 December picket as well
The Salihorsk District Executive Committee did not
authorize a picket, dated to the second anniversary of dispersal of
the peaceful post-election rally on 19 December 2012.
The
authorities explained the prohibition with the ruling of the
Salihorsk District Executive Committee of 7 October 2004 "About
measures to prevent accidents and provide abidance by the law
during mass events". The applicants, members of the United Civil
Party Viktar and Aliaksandr Malochka, were not allowed to hold the
picket on 19 December 2012 in the "Maladosts" park "because
the place of the action didn't comply with the aforementioned
ruling".
It is quite interesting that during the latest
parliamentary election the park was determined for the authorities as
a place for electoral mass events, whereas now the authorities again
state that the park hinders the prevention of accidents.
