Natallia Radzina: "We need to write about political prisoners every day"

Radzina, who has to work
in exile.
Natallia Radzina was arrested several times for
performing her professional duties. On 16 March 2010, she was beaten
by plainclothes policemen during a raid on the office of
charter97.org. She was
detained in the website office in the early hours of 20 December
2010. She was thrown into the KGB jail for two months. In late
December, she was charged with violating parts 1 and 2 of article 293
of the Criminal Code (mass disorders) in the criminal case initiated
by the preliminary investigation department of Minsk's main police
department. Radzina could have faced up to 15 years in prison. On 28
January she was released from jail. On 30 January she was sent to her
native town of Kobryn, where she was registered, and banned from
leaving it. She escaped from the country on 1 April 2011. She resumed
her work in emigration in Vilnius and later in Warsaw.
