political prisoners on the Universal Human Rights Day, 10 December.
The head of the Council of the Belarusian Radio “Racyja”
Yauhen Wapa assured that the topic of political prisoners is still
the most important one on the “Racyja” air.

about the political
prisoners is promptly
announced on the radio.
As
special human rights program, “Liudzmi
Zvacca” (“To be called people”) runs on the radio on
Tuesdays, starting from 3.05 p.m.
At present 12 political
prisoners are kept in jail in Belarus.
