Mahiliou court: dismissed trade-union activist Aliaksei Paulouski not allowed to copy the materials of his case

The judge of the Leninski District Court of Mahiliou Yuliya Trapynina not allowed Aliaksei Paulouski to take photos of the materials of the court case against the Mahiliou house-building combine.

The judge did not offer any explanations for this illegal prohibition. “She just wrote on my appeal – to familiarize me with the documents without letting me making any photos. I think it was done in order to create obstacles to preparation of a cassation appeal,” commented Mr. Paulouski.

According to the law, the court verdict according to which the court refused to admit adverse discrimination by the Mahiliou house-building combine, can be appealed within ten-days' term. Seven days have passed already.

It's worth noting that during the trial the judge Trapynina rejected all Paulouski's solicitaions, did not admit to the trial the human rights defender Barys Bukhel as his legal representative and refused to summon to the trial the witnesses who had allegedly signed the protocol of the disagreement of the staff of the house-building combine to the employment of Aliaksei Paulouski. Moreover, the plaintiff was not showed the original of this protocol and the timetable of the masons working at the combine.

Bear in mind that Aliaksei Paulouski tried to get employed by the house-building combine four times as a mason of the 5th category. The combine refused to employ him two times because of the lack of vacancies, and two more times – because of the alleged disagreement of the workers, after which the activist went to court.
