Svetlahorsk activists struggle for the right to adequate health care
Eight
well-known Salihorskers addressed the head of the Salihorsk District
Executive Committee in connection with the problems with the health
care at the local polyclinic.
Among them there is the head of
the Salihorsk city branch of the Belarusian Language Society Mikalai
Sharavar, the journalist Larysa Nasanovich, a member of the “European
Belarus” campaign Uladzimir Lemesh and the entrepreneur Uladzimir
Shyla. The address was initiated by a former candidate for the
parliament, ex-lieutenant-colonel of the financial police Viktar
Malochka.
In their address the civil activists demand
concrete answers to a number of daily issues, including the terms of
the construction of another polyclinic in Salihorsk, the attraction
of the necessary medical personnel to the city and the purchase of
new medical equipment.
