Political prisoner Aliaksandr Frantskevich put into penal cell
This information was received from his
mother, Tatsiana Frantskevich. She knows neither what he has been
punished for nor for what term he has been put in the penal cell.
“I
found that he was put into a penal cell. It is not known for how long
and for which reason. I will wait for a telephone call from him to
find it out. Judging by the fact that all of them start being
pressurized (maybe not everybody, but alt least some of them –
Dziadok, Statkevich, Bialiatski) - I think the authorities want to
morally break them.
In May 2012 Aliaksandr Frantskevich was
sentenced to three years of imprisonment. He is kept in the high
security penal colony “Vouchyia Nory” in Ivatsevichy. Human
rights defenders consider him as a prisoner of conscience and demand
his immediate release.
