Dwellers of the remote
villages of the Slonim district – Sasnouka, Mizgiry, Balty,
Hrynkoushchyna and Yarutsichy – stand against the storage of 4.000
barrels of chemicals in the village of Mizgiry.
The villages
apply to various state agencies asking for help. They are anxious
that the chemical waste presents danger to their health and the
environment, the more that these villages have always been
ecologically clean. However, nobody seems to react to their appeals.
That's why the barrels are still in Mizgiry.
