So far the conditions in the Grodna prison are not much different from the conditions in the cells of the cololies in Glubokae and Mozyr, where Dashkevich was previously kept. According to Palazhanka, Dzmitry feels cheerful and does not complain about anything so far.
Dzmitry Dashkevich was detained in Minsk on 18th December 2010 together with another Young Front’s activist Eduard Lobau and accused of beating to men. Representatives of opposition and human rights defenders took their arrest as a preventive measure of cleansing the society before the elections. In March 2011 court found Dashkevich guilty and sentenced him to two years in a general regime colony. International human rights organizations recognized Dashkevich as a political prisoner.
