Brest activists launch online project to help visually impaired

The initiators of the project does not exclude the possibility that it may have a rights-based character, to support people with disabilities who face discrimination in their everyday lives.
The main objective of the information online project "Open World", which was created jointly by Brest city youth association “Spadchyna” ("Heritage") and regional web-site "Virtual Brest", is to spread important and useful information in support of people with disabilities that have partially or completely lost their eyesight. The authors of the initiative hope that this information will not only help increase knowledge about how to help people with disabilities to integrate into the society, but also to protect their rights and to assist such persons in leading full lives.
