Valer Bulhajau, the editor-in chief of Arche magazine, is to appear in the regional economic court in Hrodna on October 18.
The case on seized books and magazines will be heard at the trial, Radio Svaboda reports.
Valer Bulhakau arrived in Hrodna on September 14 to present a new book of Arche book series “Sovietization of Western Belarus” written by historian Yan Shumski. Readers were offered to buy the books and Arche previous issues.
Tax inspectors came to the presentation, made a “test purchase” and seized about 200 copies of the magazine and books, which didn't have invoices. Valer Bulhakau was taken to a tax office and released at night.
