Siarhei Balai, photographer of the Salidarnasts online newspaper, was detained by police in Minsk’s central Kastrychnitskaya Square at about 6 p.m.
According to a message posted on the Facebook social network, the journalist was detained for taking pictures of the Square. Siarhei Balai was reportedly taken to Tsentralny District Police Department.
