Political prisoner Zmitser Dashkevich transferred from Hlybokaye to Vitsebsk

Political prisoner Zmitser Dashkevich, sentenced to another year of imprisonment for regular violation of the prison regime, was transferred to the Vitsebsk pre-trial prison in the night of 3-4 September. This information was distributed in the social networks by his fiancée Nasta Palazhanka.
Zmitser Dashkevich was detained together with another member of the “Young Front”, Eduard Lobau, on 18 December 2010, the day before the election day of the presidential election-2010. Dashkevich and Lobau were charged with beating a passer-by within the framework of a fabricated criminal case. Dashkevich was sentenced to 2 years of imprisonment, and Lobau – to 4 years.

On 28 August another criminal case against Zmitser Dashkevich (brought under Part 1 of Article 411 of the Criminal Code, “insubordination to the administration of the penal institution”) was considered on 28 August at the penal colony in Hlybokaye. As a result, he was sentenced to another year of imprisonment. Thus, he will be released on 28 August 2013.
