Election surprise: TV debates canceled due to equipment failure
The "Belarus-2" TV-channel
canceled recording of the deputy candidates debates due to breaking of the
equipment.
This information was provided to BelaPAN
by the leader of the United Civil Party Anatol Liabedzka. According to him,
recording of his debates with candidate for deputy and acting deputy of the
house of representatives Mikalai Samaseika should have taken place in the
morning on 3 September. However, he was called and informed that the recording
had been canceled due to broken equipment.
Liabedzka does not believe in this version.
The recording of debates of deputy candidate supported by the campaign
"Tell the Truth" Tatsiana Karatkevich was canceled due to the same
reason. She was supposed to debate with head of Minsk city deputy council
Mikhail Savanovich and former National Bank head Stanislau Bahdankevich.
