Yanina Liasneuskaya, an activist of Our
Home civil campaign, was detained in Vitebsk as 11 a.m. on 13 July by Orsha
police, Our Home campaign website reports.
Law-enforcement agencies say Yanina is suspected of
handing out the materials promoting violence and cruelty. In this way policemen
described children's coloring books “My dad is a policeman. What does he do at
work?”
Yanina Lianeuskaya was allowed to
leave the Kastrychnitski District Police Department at 3 pm. A police report
under article 17.8 (spreading the materials promoting violence and cruelty) was
drawn up against her. Policemen were not ashamed to use this absurd phrasing.
They said the activist would be informed about a trial with a summons.
