Members of the Dutch Christian Democratic Party planned to take part in an
educational seminar.
They received visas in the Embassy of Belarus in the Netherlands.
Two hours later, the activists got a phone call from the Belarusian embassy and
were told the immigration service of Belarus annulled their visas, bchd.info
reports.
“The ban demonstrates the authorities have a panic fear of all
organizations in Belarus calling to boycott. The authorities continue to turn
Belarus into a closed ghetto in the centre of Europe. The ban demonstrates the
authorities are not going to improve the human rights situation in the country
and hold free elections,” co-head of the Belarusian Christian Democracy party
Vital Rymasheuski said.
