Radio “Racyja” journalist receives another accreditation denial
Two months ago Viktar
Parfionenka, a correspondent for Radio “Racyja”, filed the fourth application
with the Ministry of Internal Affairs to receive official accreditation.
Predictably enough, the ministry rejected the application.
“They refused to give me any information last month. I was told that the
council which took decisions on long-term accreditations, gathered once a
month. They said it hadn’t taken place yet and asked me to wait for a month.
Two months passed. I phoned and received information from the press-service
that I was not given accreditation on the basis of point 1 and 4 of the
accreditation rules. The three previous refusals were quite similar. However,
this time they improvised and changed the points according to which I was
denied accreditation,” says Mr. Parfionenka.
They journalist is going to appeal the accreditation denial to court.
