Five civil and
political activists of Hrodna applied for holding pickets "For Fair
Elections without Lukashenka" in different parts of the city on 15 May.
One of the applicants, the head of the Hrodna city organization of the United
Civil Party Aliaksandra Vasilevich, says that there is little hope for the
authorization of the action. She didn't even receive an official answer to her
application for a picket dated to the anniversary of the Chernobyl accident — she was informed about
the ban by the police.
