Mahiliou Regional Court has upheld an earlier decision by a district court, who turned down an appeal against age discrimination lodged by local resident Vasil Lipski, after his employment contract terminated.
Mr. Lipski, 50, argues that he was fired on discriminative grounds, while the Belarusian Constitution forbids any discrimination in employment.
The Constitutional Court is not an authority for some of the country’s state bodies, says human rights defender Barys Bukhel.
