Mahiliou opposition activists will not be able to hold an authorized meeting to celebrate Freedom Day on 25 March, after their application was dismissed by local executive authorities.
“The meeting that was expected to be staged in Mahiliou’s central Savetskaya Square, was not allowed as the city has but one authorized location for holding mass events, a stadium on the city’s outskirts”, says Siarhei Brytsikau, leader of the Belarusian Popular Front Mahiliou city office.
