Baranavichy police looking for author of information about unauthorized rally
On 15 March police major Vital Dabrachynski called
civil activist Viktar Syrytsa to come to room #106 of the Baranavichy City
Police Department. He wanted the activist to tell who the author of the
information which was published on independent websites on 28 December 2011 and
concerned an unauthorized rally the entrepreneur Mikalai Charnavus intended to
hold was.
The matter is that on 27 December 2011 Mr. Charnavus applied to the Baranavichy
City Executive Committee with an application for holding a rally with the
participation of about 600 persons. He wanted to inform the public about the
dishonest the re-election of the council of the city market.
“They didn’t manage to punish Mikalai Charnavus for acting on behalf of the
steering committee of the civil association “Kobzar”, that’s why they started
looking for an opportunity to punish him for violation of the Law “On Mass
Events”,” explains Mr. Syrytsa.
