Brest: correspondent of Radio "Racyja" summonsed to procuracy
Another journalist is summonsed to the Brest Regional
Procuracy. This time it's Zmitser Kisel.
"They rang on the door, I opened it to the local police inspector. He
asked what was my name and passed me the summonsed. In some 3-4 minutes I
received a call to my mobile. A man who introduced himself as Levanchuk asked
whether I had received the summons and whether I understood why they wanted to
meet with me. He said that they had a number of publications in which they had
found some law violations," says the journalist.
According to the summons, the journalist must come to the procuracy in the
morning of 19 March. By the way, he has already been summonsed to the procuray
earlier and warned for journalist activities without accreditation.
Hrodna journalists Viktar Parfionenka and Hrazhyna Shalkevich have been issued
with official warnings for cooperation with Radio "Racyja" this year.
They were also threatened with instigation of administrative cases and large
fines.
