Polish MPs nominate Bialiatski for Nobel Peace Prize too

Signatures for the nomination of the Belarusian human rights defender and political prisoner Ales Bialiatski were collected in the Polish Parliament by representatives of the two biggest Polish parties – the ruling “Civil Platform” and the oppositional “Law and Justice”.

“The fact that we collected several hundreds of signatures in support of Ales Bialiatski's candidacy and that we managed to collect signatures from members of the Council of Europe shows that we unequivocally support the Belarusian democrats and demand the release of all political prisoners,” commented the coordinator of this initiative Tomasz Pisulia from the “Freedom and Democracy” Foundation.
