On 17 January, Minsk police detained activist of the European Belarus opposition movement Danil Hancharou and his friend Iryna Arekhouskaya.
According to European Belarus’ web-site, the youths were detained while attempting to take photos of the Presidential Administration building. They were taken to Minsk Leninski District Police Department and released without charges a few hours later.
