The imprisoned Viasna leader Ales Bialiatski may not have enough time to part with his father, 82, who is said to be on his death-bed, due to bureaucratic acrimony of the current Belarusian judicial and penal systems.
Bialiatski’s wife Natallia will make another attempt to apply for the prisoner’s short release, after the permit issued by Minsk Pershamaiski District Court was not admitted by the administration of Zhodzina prison, where Ales Bialiatski is currently held.
The administration of the Zhodzina prison said the colony did not possess the required service for escorting Ales Bialiatski.
