On 1 December in Tbilisi members of the “Center for
Human Rights” (HRIDC), a member organization of the International Federation
for Human Rights (FIDH), joined the global action in support of Ales
Bialiatski, vice-President of the FIDH, Chairman of the Human Rights Center “Viasna”.
Georgian human rights defenders demanded to release Ales Bialiatski from
prison, facing an improvised figure of Lukashenka.
The action attracted the attention of TV journalists, who prepared a video
about the persecution of the Belarusian human rights activist and solidarity of
his Georgian colleagues.
