On 24 November, Mahiliou court fined Belarusian Popular Front activist Andrei Padaliak BYR 525,000 for alleged using of foul language on the previous evening.
“I have been convicted of disorderly conduct, but I do believe I have been punished for the Belarusian language. The Judge ignored my reports on the humiliations I experienced at the police station. They simply claimed that I had been swearing and swaying my hands”, says Andrei Padaliak.
