Minsk Tsentralny District Court has heard the administrative cases of European Belarus activist detained for staging a picket of solidarity with political prisoners in Kastrychnitskaya Square on 21 October.
Aliaksandr Valantsevich has been sentenced to 7 days of administrative arrest. According to a police report, he was detained for using a megaphone to advertize another solidarity picket due on 24 October. He had to spend the weekend at Minsk detention center and went on hunger-strike while in detention.
Siarhei Charniak was sentenced to 5 days of arrest.
