On 13 October the Vitsebsk District Court started
trying Valery Staurou, charged under Article 23.4 of the Code of Administrative
Offenses, “insubordination to lawful demands of police officer”.
The trial was initiated by the police after Mr. Staurou refused to be
fingerprinted several times. The defendant states that he didn't violate any
laws, as he is not liable for military services, that's why the law on dactylography
doesn't concern him.
