Workers of “Mahilioukhimvalakno” are afraid to sign address of “Tell The Truth!”

According to Aliaksei Paulouski, workers of the state enterprise “Mahilioukhimvalakno” (“Mahiliou Chemical Tissue”) showed a positive attitude to the address asking the authorities to decrease the prices in the state shops by 20% (the percent by which the Belarusian ruble became stronger towards the US dollar according to the official information).

When Aliaksei asked them about the reasons, he was told that several workers had been fired from the enterprise for participating in the silent protest actions on summer Wednesdays. The plant ideologists also keep reminding them about the responsibility for taking part in any “undesirable” initiatives.

Aliaksei Paulouski intends to work out a special issue of a newspaper in order to explain to the people their rights and help them to get rid of fear.

Bear in mind that about 100 people have already signed under the address, initiated by Mr. Paulouski. Among them there are even representatives of such pro-regime organizations as the Belarusian National Youth Union (BRSM), “Belaya Rus”, Belarusian Association of War Veterans.
