Ivan Sheha, doctor of the Slonim District
Hospital and activist of
the BPF Party, was twice interrogated at the Slonim inter-district KGB
Department.
On 19 September a KGB officer came to the hospital and took Mr. Sheha to the
KGB department after his work. On 26 September there came two KGB officers, one
of whom was from Hrodna. However, Ivan Sheha refused to go with them. He drove
together with them in his own car after making a telephone call to his wife.
KGB officers asked him many questions. They were mostly interested in the
European foundations and their contacts with the Slonim activists. There were
also questions about Sheha's ties with the Belarusian emigrants and the number
of democratic activists in Slonim.
