The families of Ales Hryshkautsou and Andrei Burdyka, executed in July 2011, can now receive death certificates at local civil registration departments, says Andrei Paluda, coordinator of the “Human Rights Defenders Against the Death Penalty” campaign.
Ales Hryshkautsou and Andrei Burdyka were sentenced to death on 14 May 2010 for murder, arson, robbery and kidnapping back in October 2009.
The exact date of the execution is still unknown. On 25 July 2011, the mother of one of the death convicts was told the verdicts had been executed.
