Homel civil activist Dzmitry Shauchenka, sentenced to 15 days of arrest for distributing leaflets on the upcoming “silent protest” on 21 September, has declared a hunger-strike, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reports.
The administration of the detention center says the activist cannot now receive any food parcels.
Another local activist Dzmitry Karashkou convicted for participation in the same picket has been released this morning. He was taken out to city center in a police car, despite the fact his wife had come to meet him.
