Young Front activist demands to prosecute administration of Horki penal colony

Young Front activist Nasta Palazhanka has addressed the Prosecutor General of Belarus with a demand to prosecute the administration of Horki penal colony #9, the Young Front’s press-service reports.

“I urge you to stop the unlawfulness going on at Horki colony #9, where Young Front’s leader Zmitser Dashkevich is serving his sentence. It is over a month now since we have not received any letters from Dashkevich. The colony’s administration has for three times arbitrary banned Dashkevich’s meetings with the lawyer. We have no information about him. The administration’s reluctance to provide information on Dashkevich suggests that his life and health is at risk”, says Ms. Palazhanka, calling upon the Prosecutor General to conduct an inspection and prosecute the reported offenders under Article 190 of the Criminal Code and Article 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedures.
