Biarozauka town executive committee (Lida district, Hrodna region) has banned a picket of support to Belarusian prisoners of conscience applied for by local civil activists Siarhei Trafimchyk, Yury Dziashuk and V. Ashurka, www.harodniaspring.org reports.
“We would like to inform you that the objective mentioned in the application may result in negative reactions by citizens, as Mikita Likhavid was convicted of involvement in mass riots and therefore expressed his extremist mind”, says the official ban.
