Baranavichy town executive committee has banned a picket of support to Ales Bialiatski scheduled for 22 August, Radio Racyja reports.
The ban was attributed to the applicant’s failure to state the authorized picket venue, namely the wrong part of the town Old Park, which was considered as humiliation by local human rights defender Siarhei Housha.
However, executive officials promised to provide a detailed plan of authorized picket venues by 18 August.
