Mahiliou Regional Court has dismissed the appeals by two local residents detained during a “silent protest” on 3 July, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reports.
Aleh Dziachkou and Aliaksandr Tsimanovich were found guilty of participating in an unauthorized rally. As a result, Mr. Dziachkou was fined BYR 1,050,000, while Mr. Tsimanovich was warned by Mahiliou Leninski District Court.
