Nina Bahinskaya of the opposition Conservative Christian Party and Natallya Vodzich had come to the monument in a park on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of State Sovereignty. They were arrested and taken to the Tsentralny district police department, human rights defenders said.
The women were released later that day. It was not immediately known whether or not they had been charged. //BelaPAN
