“December 19” lawyers are disbarred
The lawyers of political prisoners Iryna Halip and Mikita Lihavid have not passed the certification. It has been announced today, on July 26.
Let us remind you that the Ministry of Justice has organized an extra
certification for lawyers this summer. Such lawyers as Hanna Bahtsina
and Darya Lipkina have not passed it. Both of them took part in “Dec.19”
hearings. Bahtsina defended Iryna Halip and Lipkina – Mikita Lihavid.
Both women will be disbarred now.
Iryna Halip has told
“Charter’97” that Bahtsina was accused of not being involved in the
propaganda of justice, not writing articles for official newspapers and
not making speeches on TV and in the radio.
Let us remind you
that the Ministry of Justice disbarred four lawyers involved in “the
case of December 19” in February – Aleh Aheyeu, Tatstsyana Aheyeva,
Uladzimir Toustsik and Tamara Harayeva. Pavel Sapelka was disbarred in
March.
