A new web-site Freedom to Political Prisoners in Belarus has been launched as an initiative that “aims at an immediate and unconditional release of all political prisoners in Belarus followed by the full clearance from any related charges.”
The site is expected to disseminate information on political prisoners sentenced to prison terms following the 2010 presidential election in Belarus. It features concise biographies and information on the penitentiary institutions the prisoners are serving terms at.
“It is created to demonstrate our solidarity with the oppressed and to remind the oppressors of unavoidable justice”, says the web-site.
