According to Tatsiana Seviarynets, the coordinator of the organizing committee of the Belarusian Christian Party in the Vitsebsk region, the member of the committee Zmitser Litvin was dismissed from the footwear plant BelWest because of his talks with fellow workers and invitations to join the silent protests actions that are held in Belarus on Wednesdays. The head of his workshop, Ihar Ivashniou, explained to Zmitser that he was dismissed from work for these talks with the workers, and sarcastically told him to go on “demonstrating”. Thus, the activist lost his job and is going to continue taking part in the protest actions.
