7 July: trials in Belarusian regions
On 7 July participants of the 6 July silent protest
actions were tried all over Belarus. Here are some details.
Babruisk
All 23 detainees were found guilty. Those who pleaded guilty were fined 70,000
rubles, those who didn’t – 175,000 rubles.
Brest
Six people were detained on 6 July. The majority of them were charged under
Article 23.34, part 1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, ‘violation of the
rules of organizing and holding mass events”.
Aleh Aliaksiuk – sentenced to 15 days of arrest;
Stanislau Fiadzko – fined 700,000 rubles;
Eduard Khorak – fined 700,000 rubles;
Aliaksandr Matsul – fined 700,000 rubles;
Siarhei Novik – fined 700,000 rubles;
Dzianis Vitoshkin – fined 700,000 rubles.
Homel
Ruslan Ustsimenka was sentenced to 15 days of arrest by Alena Tsalkova,
Judge of the Tsentralny District Court of Homel.
Mahiliou
The administrative cases of the detained protesters were tried at the
Leninski District Court of Mahiliou in the afternoon.
Ales Asiptsou – sentenced to 10 days of arrest by Judge Iryna Lanchava;
Barys Bukhel (human rights defender) – sentenced to 7 days of arrest;
Aleh Dziiachkou – fined 1,050,000 rubles;
Valiantsin Labachou – sentenced to 12 days of arrest by Judge Stanislau
Shandarovich;
Aliaksandr Kisialiou – sentenced to 5 days of arrest by Judge Iryna Lanchava;
Aliaksandr Simanovich – warned by Judge Tatsiana Parkhomenka;
Yakimovich –warned by Judge Iryna Lanchava;
Vital Zablotski – fined 1,050,000 rubles.
Maladechna
Aleh Haponenka – fined 1,050,000 rubles;
Siarhei Pavel – 10 days of arrest;
Volha Rudnitskaya – fined 350,000 rubles.
Vileika
Judge Alena Artsymovich postponed the trial of Zmitser Kaptsiuh to 12 June
in order to summon his witnesses.
Vitsebsk
On 7 July cases of 15 protesters were considered at the Kastrychnitski
District Court of Vitsebsk. All of them were considered by Judge Ina
Hrabouskaya within the framework of one court sitting. Here are the surnames of
