The date of the court proceedings concerning the
cassation appeal of political prisoner, former presidential candidate Uladzimir
Niakliayeu, remains unknown.
On 2 May the Frunzenski District Court of Minsk had found Mr. Niakliayeu guilty
under Article 342, “organization of group actions violating the public order,
or active participation in such actions”, and sentenced him to two years of
imprisonment with two-year determent.
Uladzimir Niakliayeu and his lawyers appealed the verdict, but the Minsk City
Court still hasn't announced the day of the appropriate trial.
