On 2 June, Mikalai Ladutska, chair of Minsk city executive committee, approved decision #1554 on authorized rally locations in the city center.
The decision bans any mass events in most of Minsk central squares and streets, including Kastrychnitskaya Square, Independence Square, Victory Square, as well as Peramozhtsau Avenue and part of Independence Avenue.
Apart from that, mass events will not be allowed outside the National Library and in Victory Park, www.euroradio.by reports, quoting the www.telegraph.by pro-government Internet resource.
The list mentions but three authorized locations: Nations’ Freedom Park, the summer theatre of October 50th Anniversary Park and a plaza in Kyiv Park.
