Three months have passed since Maladechna resident Yan Lahvinovich was badly beaten during the 19 December post-election rally. As a result, his arm was broken, however, the prosecuting authorities have not yet been able to find out who broke his arm. Nor have they initiated criminal proceedings against the alleged culprits.
“I lodged a complaint demanding to initiate a criminal case back in January. On 31 January I was informed that my case was being inspected. However, the prosecuting authorities have not yet informed whether a criminal case was initiated”, says Mr. Lahvinovich.
Another complaint by Yan Lahvinovich is going to be submitted to Minsk City Prosecutor’s Office.
