On 17 March, Vitsebsk Chyhunachny District Court reviewed the administrative case of local opposition activist Barys Khamaida, found guilty of arranging an unauthorized picket, after an earlier acquitting verdict was reversed.
As a result, Judge Uladzislau Shykarou fined the activist BYR 1,050,000.
Barys Khamaida is going to stand another trial on similar charges on 23 March.
