‘Black lists’ for state media
According to the web resource
tut.by, the Ministry of Information submitted to heads of the state media a
list of the artists and artistic collectives whose appearance was undesirable
in the pages of press editions, on TV and radio.
As it is stated by tut.by, the paper is ‘unofficial’ and contains no
information about the authors. The ‘secret order’ allegedly was given to the
official media and FM radio stations.
The list contains such bands as Lyapis
Trubetskoy, Palac, Krama, NRM, Neuro Dubel, Krambambulia, Naka, singer Zmitser Vaitsiushkevich, playwrights Uladzimir Khalip
and Andrei Kureichyk, the collective of the underground Free Theater with Natallia Kaliada and Mikalai Khalezin at the
head, the people’s artist of Belarus Zinaida Bandarenka, members of the Council
of Belarusian Intellectuals, poets Henadz Buraukin, Anatol Viartsinski and
Siarhei Zakonnikau, artists Aliaksei Marachkin and Mikola Kupava and cinema
producers Uladzimir Khashchavatski and Uladzimir Kolas.
